Top Social Media Tips – How to Engage with Ease!
Way back in the day (last year) it was a relatively simple proposition to rank your pages in Google’s search results. Optimize the pages, have good, unique content and create a slew of backlinks to them.
Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case!
No longer. Google has raised the bar, and besides making sure we’re still managing to achieve most of the above named items, we are now expected to have a viable and buzzing social media presence to boot! What this means is complete social profiles, daily or more posts, and interaction with your peeps on a regular basis.
So just how do we create these “social signals”?
Here are three simple ways you can enhance the level of engagement with your brand, enlarge your prospective audience, and favorably increase word of mouth regarding your business.
- Utilize visual media – However you slice it, most of us now would rather watch than read. Regardless of whether we are driven to this by time constraints or the fact that it’s simply easier, that appears to be the state of the world these days. Backing that up, Facebook reports that pics and vids attract 53 percent more likes than text alone.
- Make sure to post later in the day – Engagement by means of liking, sharing and following, is far more likely to occur later in the day or early evening, based on research from social media expert Dan Zarrella. If you post early in the day, as you’re getting going, make sure to check back later. It will be worth it!
- Be quick on the draw – Don’t leave people hanging! They are wanting to engage with you, so make it a normal practice to respond to comments, tweets and status updates as soon as you can.
Here’s a cool example of a business getting inventive with social media: Comodo, a restaurant in New York City, launched a menu that used tagged images, allowing customers to look through and see what they have to offer. Your business can also find new customers and further engage with the ones you have now by following these simple suggestions!
